The
Messaging module provides schools with a secure messaging tool for internal use only, usable by any user authenticated to Eduka.
Thanks to a precise, customizable system of permissions, you retain control over exchanges between the different populations making up your school: these administrator-configurable restrictions have been carefully thought out to
respect the confidentiality and security needs of schools.
The module's basic functions are similar to those of a traditional messaging system, but with an address book defined by the system administrator, in this case based on all users identified in your Eduka database.its role as an internal messaging system therefore by definition limits message exchanges between system users, and does not allow e-mail to be sent outside them.
Notifications are possible:
- by e-mail, which users must actively set up to be informed of new messages received
- by notification, whether internal to the Eduka web portal or from the Eduka Mobile application
It should be noted that the Messaging module does not replace the Communication module, whose purpose is to send group mailings to a targeted population, or to publish news or events on the Eduka portal.
Convenient, centralized messaging for your users
The
Messaging module is integrated into the Eduka portal in the form of a dedicated icon, enabling users to :
- View messages received, sent, as well as important or followed-up messages
- Send new messages by accessing a set of available contacts and mailing lists, according to the permissions granted
- Access precise search functions across the entire messaging system, by recipient/sender, subject, content or by label
- Personalize user preferences, such as e-mail notification, default message signature, or set unavailability.

Messaging administration for effective exchange control
Messaging administrators have access to a highly configurable tool, enabling them to :
- Set up a relevant set of permissions according to user types and profiles: who can exchange with whom?
- Manage relevant mailing lists, enabling rapid targeting of recipients for specific uses
- Create a label repository, to identify and catogorize messages more easily
- Set general parameters, such as the content of email notifications potentially sent (full message, preview, without message content...)
